RICHARD LEE SMALL (1962)
US Coast GuardRichard Lee Small graduated from Wilson in 1962. He served in the US Coast Guard from April 1964 to April 1968. Richard's Boot camp was in Alameda, CA and ‘A’ School was in Key West Florida. He was assigned to Terminal Island in Long Beach, CA and then to USCGC Cape Higgon 95302 (95 foot search and rescue cutter) in Newport Beach, CA. For the last two years of enlistment, Richard was assigned as Admiral’s driver for Commander Coast Guard District Eleven at Long Beach, CA.
